Think, Pair, Share

Hi Everyone!

I uploaded my lesson on social learning partners onto my wiki. Please visit http://sabrinaellison.pbworks.com/FrontPage to download a copy :) I would love it if somebody would revise it using the tracking comments on Microsoft word......and upload the revised edition on my wiki. I think that is the purpose of a wiki...to serve as a community revision tool. Please contact me if you need access to my wiki! I am not sure if anybody but Dr. Fiedler has tried to access my wiki! I also uploaded my lesson plan on the discussion board on Blackboard.

If you would like for me to revise your lesson plan or tech tool box...please provide me with the ability to access a microsoft word document....this is the best way for me to leave detailed feedback. The easiest way to do this is through a wiki or posting your assignments to the discussion board. I cannot highlight text and leave constructive feedback on a PDF file (at least...I don't know how). Additionally, some of the blogs--blind my eyes because of the contrasting colors! I avoid these blogs because it is so difficult to read the text because of the color schemes!

  1. Hello,

A wiki is a terrific tool for creating and editing content. You don't need a word processor to do it either. I'm going to put a page on Sabrina's blog that shows everyone how to do that.

WOW!!! Your lesson plan on memorization is AWESOME!!! You are definately an inspired teacher!

First, I'd like to comment on how well you know your students! You mention this paragraph in your lesson plan (which now I realize I need to do a better job of identifying my own learners in my lesson plans!):

"As a developmental preschool teacher, I need to prepare activities that will increase phonological awareness and the concept of print. Most of my students have a poor working memory. With that being said, it is crucial that I develop memorable activities that will help children encode information into their brains. Associating pictures with letters and sounds provides a link or a way for children to encode phonological awareness into their brains!"

I feel this is a crucial step in lesson plan development!! You articulated it well, nice work!!

I think you did a nice job in laying out the specifics of the lesson plan, you mention 100% of the students and how each day's lesson will be ran.

You have a lot of great resources!

Overall, this is well planned and organized. I feel almost anyone could fill in for you in your absence and give this lesson quite well (well, not as good as you!)

    Nice work!!!!
